You Are God's Masterpiece (the Holy Spirit molds you into a Christ-like person)
“For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 (TNIV)
What is the reason behind your coming to Jesus? What is the purpose of your going back to Japan ? What is the purpose of you living abroad? For what were you created? A Holy God created you as His masterpiece. A masterpiece or a good piece of handiwork is always designed to fulfill the purpose given by its maker, who creates with passion, love and is meticulous in planning. According to God's wonderful plan our life-long goal is to keep growing until we attain to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Let's learn about this together and hear from the Lord Himself at this year's equipper conference 04 (ec 04). We warmly welcome y'all to ec 04!
After we go back to Japan as Christians, our family, friends at school or coworkers will observe our life. “Although my son became Christian while studying abroad, he is not appreciative to us parents and he is sometimes kind of rude,” “So and so at the planning department doesn't hang out with us after work saying she is a Christian, but she is often late to come to work and doesn't put her best effort into important tasks. We can't really count on her.” These words may be too stereotypical of returnee Christians and do not necessarily reflect reality. If, however, we are serious about impacting people around us in Jesus' way, we want others to perceive Christ-likeness from how we live.
At ec 04, we would like to learn more about how to grow as the disciples of Christ in accordance with God's blueprint. We have been praying that we all would hear from our Lord at ec 04, repent accordingly and serve Jesus with renewed minds. God will start changing people by changing us. He would change Japan , our beloved country, eventually. Please prayerfully consider attending ec 04!
